Actually he is. He plays his xbox on Saturday evenings only. But sending it off for repair was going to take 4 weeks. As thats his only day he gets time for gaming he brought a new one. Its also the only time he gets to really chat to his friends who live away all at once via xbox live.
I have a demanding job also but still have time to play a console, though not a lot.. So you were right in your assumption that his friends are all on xbox live.

Comparing low rez shots isnt really ideal. Killzone looks amazing but it isn't as good as the original vid overall. It is better in some ways though. Anyway who cares, still looks damn good.

Actually Bioshock sold over 2.3million copies on xbox compared to 300,000 on Ps3.

I also know of people who have gone out and brought another 360 rather than wait for theres to be fixed. RROD sucks but i guess the games are so good they have to buy a new one. Yet my friends Ps3 broke down and he didn't rush out to get another... funny that.

Ive seen MGS4 listed for 360 also which isnt happening. If you want to play it that badly buy a 360. There cheap enough.
They need marketing to sell more. Simple. Killzone may sell 5million copies but you can bet with a marketing campaign like Halo3's it would sell a lot more. Regardless of product marketing helps.

Fear was good in the a.i department and the sequel looks good as does Killzone but left 4 dead is a good game also. I guess its sour grapes that it's not on Ps3 yet.
